Dr. John Putnam graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from University of Scranton. He is an Osteopractic Physical Therapist Fellow of the American Academy of Orthoaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT), and certified in advanced dry needling techniques.
Dr. Putnam is one of the most experienced dry needling practitioners in southeast Michigan. Only 1% of Physical Therapists are fellowship-trained and a fellowship has been clinically proven in improve patient outcomes.
Some of Dr. Putnam’s professional experience includes various clinical directorships, mentorships, chronic pain management, surgical rehab, and completing 5,000+ functional dry needling procedures. To ensure the highest level of quality care, Dr. Putnam has accumulated over 2,500 hours of continuing education, including certifications in Dry Needling, Spinal Manipulation Therapy, and Orthopedic Excellence: the Spine.
Dr. Putnam uses a patient-first and evidence-based approach to his care. He emphasizes a balance of patient education, an individualized home exercise program, manual therapy, research-based therapeutic exercises, direction-specific maneuvers, and modalities to treat pain and dysfunction.
